1. About this website

nic-growthmarketing.com (the "Website") is the personal career website of Nicholas Ng ("I", "me"), a growth marketing professional based in Singapore. It presents my experience to recruiters, hiring managers and business contacts.

This policy covers personal data collected through the Website, email, WhatsApp, telephone and LinkedIn in connection with enquiries about employment, interviews and professional opportunities. I am the Data Protection Officer (DPO) for this Website.

2. Personal data I collect

When you send an enquiry

• Your name and work email address
• Company name and contact number (optional)
• The role you are hiring for
• Anything you include in your message

When you contact me directly

Messages sent by email, WhatsApp, telephone or LinkedIn, including any personal data in them.

Website usage

Technical information such as IP address and browser type may be processed automatically by the providers that host the Website and deliver its fonts (see section 8).

I do not collect NRIC or other national identification numbers, and I never ask for bank or card details.

3. How I use your data

• To reply to your enquiry and arrange calls or interviews
• To share my CV, portfolio or references when you request them
• To keep a record of our correspondence
• To improve the Website
• To meet legal obligations and resolve any disputes

I will not use your data for any other purpose without telling you first and, where required, asking for your consent.

4. Consent and withdrawal

By submitting an enquiry or contacting me, you consent to my collecting, using and disclosing your personal data for the purposes in section 3.

You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to me. I will act on your request within a reasonable time, normally within 10 working days, and explain any consequences. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it, or data I must keep by law.

5. Sharing your data

I do not sell, rent or trade personal data. I share it only:

• With service providers that help run the Website and my communications, such as my email provider (Google), WhatsApp (Meta), Google Fonts and the Website's hosting provider, Cloudflare. They process data only to provide their services.
• With referees, only with your agreement
• With authorities, where the law requires or permits it

6. Transfers outside Singapore

Some providers may store or process data outside Singapore. Where this happens, I take reasonable steps to make sure your data receives protection comparable to the PDPA, by using reputable providers bound by appropriate data protection obligations.

7. Testimonials and client information

Testimonials and recommendations on the Website are published with the attribution given by their authors, including those originally posted on LinkedIn or other platforms. If you are quoted and would like your testimonial amended or removed, please contact me and I will act on it promptly.

Results described on the Website are shared in summary form and do not disclose confidential client data.

8. Cookies and website technologies

• The Website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and does not run analytics.
• Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address under Google's privacy policy.
• The hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set strictly necessary security cookies.

9. Marketing messages

I do not send marketing messages. I will only contact you about the enquiry or opportunity you raised. I respect the Do Not Call (DNC) Registry.

10. Protecting your data

I take reasonable security measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal, including secure, password-protected accounts with two-factor authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but I work to protect your data.

11. How long I keep data

I keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in section 3, or as required by law. Enquiry correspondence is normally kept for up to 2 years after our last contact, then deleted, unless you ask me to delete it sooner.

12. Access and correction

You may ask to see the personal data I hold about you, how it has been used in the past year, or to correct it. I will respond within 30 days where possible. If I need more time, I will let you know.

13. Data breach notification

If a data breach is likely to cause you significant harm, I will notify you and, where required, the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC), in line with the PDPA.

14. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when published on this page, with the "Last updated" date revised.
